Zenith Uptime Support Program
Unscheduled downtime is the most expensive part of running an efficient, profitable plant.
Zenith offers a proactive aftermarket support program designed to help you extend the life of your in-service pumps and avoid costly, unscheduled downtime. To help keep you up and running at optimal levels, protecting you against business losses due to production delays, the Zenith Uptime Support Program encourages preventive maintenance to help make sure your pumps keep running and maintain their precise metering capability.
Wide Range of Pumps
Complete repair and service for all types of metering gear pumps used in the fiber, polymers, chemical and related industries. These services are not limited to Zenith Pumps alone. Most makes and models of gear pumps in differing types, sizes and manufacture can be serviced at our repair facility. Our facility is equipped and staffed to handle a multitude of repairs--from cleaning to complete reconditioning, rebuilding and pump conversion.
Customized Repair Programs
Zenith Pumps can establish a Repair and Maintenance program to fit your particular requirements, whether it's one or one hundred pumps per month. We can assist in the evaluation of your pumps to determine why they failed and whether the problem was due to corrosion, lubrication, foreign particles, abrasion or any other cause. If needed, we can modify existing pumps to meet requirements for changing applications and improve process results. Special capacities, seals, clearances, lubrication and more are also available.
Comprehensive Pump Repair
Send your pump back for repair—Depending on your particular operation, you may have the luxury of removing your pump from the line and sending it back to the experts at Zenith for evaluation, inspection, refurbishment and re-assembly. With this option you get a renewed warranty and measurements taken that can be used for benchmarking to help you predict wear rates and maintenance schedules. This option works well if you have a new pump on your shelf. When one pump is due for repair, simply replace it with your back-up pump. An optional failure analysis report is also available.
Pump capacities from .03 - 1,500 cc/rev can be sent to Zenith for simple cleaning, disassembly, evaluation, reconditioning, inspection and assembly. A Material Safety Data Sheet is required for each pump and/or shipment prior to beginning the repair process. Cleaning is accomplished by two methods: high-temperature burnout using a vacuum furnace for high temperature pumps or specialized chemical cleaning when required by material process or pump type.
Once initial cleaning is complete, pumps are disassembled. Each component is then mechanically cleaned and evaluated. Components are reconditioned or replaced as dictated by the evaluation or by customer-specified wear limits. They are then inspected, reassembled, certified, and repackaged for return transit.
Customer specifications are maintained throughout the entire process and in many cases are improved and standardized. Product quality, as a result, is under better and more consistent control.
Repair Kits
More than a box of parts, the Zenith Repair Kits give you everything you need for standard wear and tear maintenance in a single package AND at a 10% reduced overall cost. In addition to providing seals, hardware and lubricants necessary for your pump to work properly, the kit gives you the reliability and value you expect with spare parts and the peace of mind of using genuine original Zenith parts.
Delivery times of the Repair Kits are fast—often within 24 hours of ordering. Plus, you don’t need individual part numbers for each and every part. Know your pump part number? Then you know your kit number.
Inventory Control
Zenith offers contracted parts inventory to assure those necessary components are in stock and available for quick repair. The customer forecasts yearly requirements and Zenith will maintain in-house stock which can be utilized on an as needed basis.
Uptime Training Seminars
This in-house Zenith session allows you or members of your production, engineering and maintenance staff to receive complete repair training plus basic or advanced “principles of operation” education. While at the Zenith facility, you receive a plant tour to better understand the construction techniques used to build every Zenith pump and system, and you can be set up with personalized log-ins for on-line pricing and availability for future pumping needs.
On-site Uptime Evaluation
A certified Zenith technician comes directly to your facility to scrutinize your operation, your pump use and the flow rates to give you real-life, one-time application assistance and preventative maintenance schedule recommendation and training. We’ll determine why they failed and whether the problem was due to corrosion, lubrication, foreign particles, abrasion or any other cause. After just one visit, you have a repair benchmarking table that allows you to design a customized uptime maintenance schedule and parts kit stocking recommendation. This can include a “Lunch-and-Learn” style training session for all appropriate staff.
